VTG Waste & Recycling is the largest Territory owned and operated waste business in the NT. 

Early February 2025 VTG purchased NT Recycling Solutions, a considerable capital investment, investing further in the NT, operating over four sites in Darwin.

VTG has over 100 NT employees and a fleet of over 100 vehicles to service all waste and recycling streams, and has considerable capital investment in key waste treatment infrastructure – the newest, most modern and efficient Material Recovery Facility (MRF) in the NT, and one of two operational liquid treatment plants in the NT. 

Owners and senior management of the business are long term proud Territorians, passionate about developing the Territory for the future of all Territorians. Mick Hannon, Director, and James Prakash, Managing Director, have over 40 years of waste management experience in the NT between them, working with industrial clients, Defence, and supporting some of the NT’s most prominent government and industrial projects.
