Mick Burns has been involved in a wide range of industries, businesses and developments. Mick started to build his business interests four decades ago, successfully constructing, owning and operating hotels in the 1980’s with his partner Brooke David, who is still actively involved today.  Mick is now also very actively involved in the world of crocodiles, owning, developing and Managing Crocodile farms since 2000. Overseeing investment into the development of the Crocodile farming industry from a ‘cottage industry’ to an industry that makes a substantial contribution to the Northern Territory economy.  Mick is now focussed to the challenge to regionalise business opportunities in remote Northern Territory communities in the Crocodile industry. Mick constructed Crocosaurus Cove in 2009 with his business partner Doug Gamble.  

 

Mick has served as a Board member of the AHA, now HNT for over 25 years, having been the President (NT) and national board member of the Australian Hotels Association (AHA) for over 10 years, he is a life member in the HNT and AHA nationally.
